<BODY BGCOLOR="#96C832"> <H2>Mongolian Grammar <IMG SRC="grammar_book_animated.gif" ALT="Grammar Book" WIDTH="100" HEIGHT="150"></H2> <H3>About the authors:</H3> <P>Rita Kullmann, Swiss, teacher by profession, studied Mongolian (Classical script) in Inner Mongolia University in 1984. 1986-1988 she lived in Leeds, where she and her family had contact with several Mongolian students from Ulaanbaatar. In 1989 she took part-time lessons with a Mongolian teacher in Cambridge's Faculty of Oriental Studies. From 1991 until 2003 she and her family have been living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Mongolian Grammar was completed 1996 under the auspices of the Academy of Sciences with the help of Mr. Tserenpil. </P> <P>D. Tserenpil graduated 1984 from the Mongolian Language Department of the Mongolian State University. He did research on the structure and system of modern Mongolian at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. He lectured at universities and institutes in Ulaanbaatar and wrote scientific articles. In 1996 he got a Ph.D in linguistics. From 1998-2001 he taught Mongolian language at the Central Euroasian Studies Department of the Indiana University in Bloomington, USA.
